Ayurvedic treatment
Ayurveda, “the knowledge of life/longevity” in Sanskrit, is an ancient holistic healing system from India. It is based on maintaining health and preventing illness through a balanced lifestyle, including daily routines, nutrition, and sleep, all tailored to the individual according to the three body - mind types (doshas).
The basic Ayurvedic massage – Abhyanga, is adapted to each individual through the use of specific oils and massage techniques (direction, depth, and rhythm), adjusted to different constitutions.
This is a full-body treatment that begins with the application of warm oil, followed by long, flowing strokes, with focused and deeper work on specific areas, energy channels and Marmas (vital energy points).
After the massage, clients are invited to a complementary herb-infused steam sauna treatment, Svedana. This is a sweating therapy in which the body is inside the steam souna, while the head remains outside.
The combination of oil massage followed by sauna is both deeply healing and relaxing. The oil penetrates deeply into the tissues, further softening the body, while the heat stimulates circulation in the channels and increases perspiration. Sweating supports detoxification and creates a sense of lightness in the body.
This is a particularly calming and balancing treatment. It helps improve circulation, supports detoxification, relieves muscle tension and pain, enhances sleep quality, and reduces stress.
This treatment is suitable both as a regular maintenance practice and for addressing specific conditions.
